There’s a new development in crack chasing technology. Dustless Technologies introduces a dust control system for hand grinders that is applicable to crack chasing.
Crack chasing can be very messy – kicking up a lot of dust. The dust can be harmful, and clean up time consuming and costly. The dust containment system makes crack chasing with a hand grinder a quick "in-and-out" operation. This dustless crack chasing system is ideal for indoor settings or in public locations where it’s important to keep the mess to a minimum.
The DustBuddie™
crack chasing system includes a standard DustBuddie™ dust shroud equipped with a special cover plate. The brush skirt of the standard DustBuddie™ has to be removed, and the front edge of the DustBuddie™ has to be trimmed with a band saw or some type of blade capable of cutting polycarbonate plastic.
When you begin crack chasing with the system, be sure to get the blade in and out of the cut quickly, as the DustBuddie™ does the most effective job of capturing the dust when the blade is fully in the cut.
One of the things that makes the DustBuddie™ so good for crack chasing is the clear polycarbonate shroud. It provides greater visibility for the operator for more clean, accurate and productive crack chasing.
