Dust Containment

Dust containment in the construction workplace is critical to maintaining a healthy and safe work environment for workers; and in many cases, having a point of origin dust containment system can mean the difference between getting the job or not. Many cities and municipalities are mandating dust containment systems whenever a power hand tool is used. OSHA and NIOSH are also passing guidelines to protect workers from the dangers of silicosis caused by airborne dust from grinding and cutting with power hand tools.

Dust containment can be achieved several ways, but the most cost effective means is the point of origin system from Dustless Technologies. Instead of relying on filters, masks, overdraft, ventilation systems and plastic drop cloths, the dust containment system from Dustless Technologies captures dust immediately – at its point of origin.

The Dustless Technologies dust containment system utilizes a dust shroud that attaches directly to the hand grinder and a vacuum designed specifically for the extra fine dust created by cutting and grinding with diamond tools and abrasive products.

The DustBuddie™ is a dust containment shroud that fits most makes and models of hand grinders. This dust containment product features a removable front lip so the contractor can grind up against a wall. It also features a brush skirt that acts as a cushion to promote a smooth grinding action on even the roughest surfaces. This dust containment system is noted for being fast and easy to install – the professional contractors’ number one choice for all its features.

The Dustie™ dust containment shroud is a low cost alternative for price sensitive do-it-yourselfers and small contractors with sporadic needs. This dust containment system also installs very quickly and easily on most makes and models of hand grinders. It features a Flex-Flange™ that easily slips over the grinder’s collar and is held in place with a band clamp.

The Turbo Drywall Sander is an excellent dust containment system for drywall contractors, small contractors and do-it-yourselfers. This dust containment system captures the fine dust created by sanding drywall. It features a rectangular sanding head that lets the operator get into corners and tight places. This dust containment drywall sander is also very lightweight compared to the leading drywall sander from Porter Cable. It gives contractors a lightweight, compact alternative and less expensive alternative to the dustless Porter Cable drywall sander.

At the center of the Dustless Technologies line of dust containment products is their patented Wet Dry Vacuum. This amazing vacuum is specifically designed for dust containment and the extra fine dust created by diamond blades and abrasive products.
